Saturday, June - 7:20am:  Fly from LGA to Sacramento, CA

Sunday, June 8:  Day Hike: Glacier Point-Panorama Loop (9miles).
This hike is a moderate-difficult combination of two of the best hikes in Yosemite with a 3,200ft elevation gain.  We will begin from Yosemite Valley ascending the Valley’s south wall to Glacier Point, the parks most famous viewpoint.  The first four miles climbs a steady 2,000ft as you begin to catch a first glimpse of Half Dome.  We will then switch to the Panorama Trail.  If we are lucky, we may find blue grouse on the trail.  On our decent we will see the 370ft Illilouette Falls. We will have one last climb of 760ft to see more magnificent views of Half Dome, Broderick, Liberty Cap, and Mt Starr King.  The hike will finish with Nevada and Vernal Falls. After the hike, transfer back to our camp for dinner.

Monday, June 9:  Day Hike, Cathedral Lakes (8 miles / 4 - 6 hours)
This hike is a moderate hike with only a 1,000ft elevation change.  This trail will lead us to the Upper and Lower Cathedral Lakes.  Lower Cathedral Lake is among the most impressive of Yosemite's granite-wrapped High Sierra lakes.  Numerous peaks such as Cathedral, Echo, and Tresside, all over 10,000 feet, surround the lakes.  Even though it may be cold, there is a chance to go swimming in these beautiful waters.  On the way back to camp, we will enjoy a visit at the Ahwahnee Hotel for cold beverage at the bar! This hotel is a National Historic Landmark in operation since 1927 and by far the most luxurious place in the park.

Tuesday, June 10:  Day Hike, Mono Pass (7.5miles) or Optional Activity Day
Today we will have the option to hike; or choose from a multitude of activities Yosemite has to offer.
Overnight Luxury Cabins
LuxCabins2.jpg LuxCabins4.jpg LuxCabins3.jpg LuxCabins1.jpg
Hike - Mono Pass is a moderate hike with only a 915ft elevation gain.  The trail follows a path established by Native Americans, which was later used for mining activity. Cabins in various stages of decline represent the mining era of the late nineteenth century. Near the pass are five reconstructed cabins in the midst of other mining debris.

Bike Rental - Explore Yosemite at your own pace as you enjoy the flat terrain and spectacular views of Yosemite Valley.  Over 12 miles of paved bike trails in Yosemite National Park take you to some of the most picturesque spots in the park.  The floor of Yosemite Valley is predominantly flat, with an occasional mild incline, making for easy cruising.

Rock Climbing - The Yosemite Mountaineering School and Guide Service has been a tradition in Yosemite rock climbing since 1969.  Our guides can take you where you want to go, from learning your first knots, in our beginner Go Climb A Rock classes, to multi-day ascents of El Capitan for the more experienced.  As the only guide service permitted to operate within Yosemite National Park, we know Yosemite better than anyone, and would love sharing our knowledge and skills with you.

Horseback Riding - Experience the breath-taking views and majestic scenery of Yosemite National Park by mule or horseback.  When you are ready to saddle up, there are plenty of options.  We have three stables within the park boundaries, each offering unique scenery and a memorable experience.  Visit one, or all three, to see more of the park.  Two-hour, four-hour and all day rides are available.  Saddle up.

Wednesday, June 11:  Day Hike, The Mist Trail (7.5miles) OR the famous Half Dome (14miles)
The Mist Trail and Half Dome start out at the same trailhead.  The Mist Trail a moderate to difficult hike with an elevation change of 1900ft.  This hike offers more scenic diversity than any other hike in Yosemite Valley!  The route follows the gentle switchbacks of the John Muir Trail up to the fall, then down the more spectacular yet steeper Mist Trail.  Expect to get wet along this trail, as it runs right alongside the tumbling water.
The Half Dome hike is considered by most people to be the ultimate Yosemite hike, the biggest achievement.  Therefore, you must be in very good shape accept this challenging hike.  The summit offers awesome 360-degree views, and peering down its sheer 2000ft north face offers a powerful thrill you’ll remember the rest of your life.  Climbing gear is unnecessary.  Hikers haul themselves up the final 650ft. to the summit between two steel cables.  Wow!  After a full day of hiking, we will be able to relax in our Jacuzzi’s and have a BBQ in our luxury cabins.

Thursday, June 12:  Day Hike, May Lake & Mt. Hoffmann (6 miles) OR Optional Activity Day
May Lake & Mt. Hoffmann is a moderate hike with an elevation gain of 2004ft.  Mt. Hoffmann sits at 10,850ft and has outstanding views of Yosemite’s entire high country.  Hiking to its summit takes just a few hours along a good trail that presents no difficulties.  It was the first peak climbed in Yosemite, and remains one of the park’s most frequently visited summits.
List of Optional Activities Above   After all of our activities we will set out to Groveland to our hotel, stopping for dinner in town.
Overnight in hotel

Friday, June 13:  White Water Rafting the Tuolumne River class IV+ ($225)
After an early breakfast, we will depart for what has been referred to as the best white water rafting in California!  We will meet our guides at 8:30am and leave on the bus to the white water rafting shortly after.  Wet suits and jackets are included in price.
The Tuolumne River is a magical 18 mile corridor, boasting long, tantalizing class IV rapids, wondrous side creeks and wide, sandy beaches for camping. Rapids such as Rams Head, Steamboat, Cabin, Hells Kitchen and the granddaddy of them all, Clavey Falls, will stir the blood of any rafter, veteran or novice.  Lunch will be on the river and is included.  We will finish rafting around 6pm.  After showers and changing, we will drive to our hotel in Sacramento.
